The ground may be frozen under a blanket of snow, but Seville Farm Market vendors are already planning for the 2011 season. Once again, we are grateful to be sponsored by the Seville Lions Club.
The market will take place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon beginning May 28 and run through Sept. 24. We're planning lots of special giveaways, demos and promotions -- including the ever-popular Zucchini Smackdown -- so watch this blog and local newspapers for details.
We're also seeking new crafters, growers, bakers and others to join us. The Seville Farm Market is a producer's market, which means we allow only vendors who make or grow their own products. We're very vendor-friendly and our fees are much lower than many surrounding markets. Sellers pay $25 for the entire 18-week season or $5 per market day, up to $25. Every cent goes back into promoting the market. If you'd like to learn more, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For both buyers and sellers, we offer great small-town atmosphere, a wonderful setting in Maria Stanhope Park and lots of convenient parking at adjacent Seville United Methodist Church.
Our pre-opening organizational meeting for new and returning vendors will take place at 7 p.m., April 14, at Seville United Methodist Church. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dessert dish (and the recipe!) to share. So come, enjoy some great food, and learn more about the 2011 Seville Farm Market.
See everyone in the spring!
