Fifth-Annual Zucchini Smackdown is Aug. 17


The Zucchini Smackdown is Aug. 17 and there’s something new … Zucchini Art!

In addition to entering a SWEET or SAVORY dish in the cooking contest, you can use your zucchini as art. In conjunction with the Art Walk sponsored by the Seville downtown businesses, we are celebrating Zucchini Art. Yes, zucchini can be carved, painted, tye-dyed (Tye-dyed? Really?) or whatever your imagination can imagine.

All entries should be submitted by 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the gazebo. Judging will start promptly at 10 a.m. Zucchini should be grown as locally as possible. Please provide the recipe along with your entry. All dishes will be available for sampling after the judging. Decisions of the judges will be final. Entry forms will be available on the day of the contest.
