2015 Zucchini Smackdown results
Local cooks brought out their favorite recipes for the Seville Farm Market’s popular annual Zucchini Smackdown Aug. 15 at Maria Stanhope Park. Seville Councilwoman Leslie Miller helps arrange entries. The “celebrity” judges for this year’s event were Cloverleaf High School Principal Jamie Lormeau, Cloverleaf High School Associate Principal Bart Randolph and Cloverleaf Schools Superintendent Daryl Kubilus. Additional entries included a Summer Zucchini Chili from Andrea Fussi and Heather Donley’s Curried Zucchini Soup. Winner in the Savory category: Zucchini Frittata by Dave Brantner. In the Best Sweet Dish category, the judges chose Sasha’s Chocolate Zucchini Bread made by Olga Reswow Griffin of Wadsworth.
